Might be helpful if you say what you want the light to do? Throw light to a distance? Spread out over a large area? What do you want to do with it? How large do you want the light, pocketable, holster, larger?
What kind of 18650 charger do you have? They arent all created equal, as with the batteries themselves.
$50 should be able to get you a nice light anyway.
Thanks for your quick reply. I would like to use it outdoors, like illuminating entire field. Spreading out a large area is more important than throwing a distance. The size does not matter, I just would like to get as bright as I can get for this price.
My charger:
18650 Smart charger
Model: s-li-ht 18650
battery slot length seems to be ~7cm
Trustfire 3x xml t6 might be something for you with some panasonic 18650s

His M6 is better but out of stock presently. Nothing Richard sells is poor quality. Ask him for advice, cells, etc. Great guy!
For large area illumination, how about a zoomy? A zoomy gives flood or throw, while a typical reflector light gives both at once.
Solarstorm T3 or T4
theLIGHTINGDUTCHMAN, thanks. Do you mean these
1x http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-TrustFire-3800Lumens-LM-T6-CREE-XML-XM-L-LED-Flashlight-Torch-3Pcs-p-49367.html
2x http://www.banggood.com/NCR-18650-3400mAH-3_7-V-Lithium-Rechargeable-Battery-For-Panasonic-p-72906.html
saypat, thanks. I emailed him.
Fritz t. Cat, thanks. Yes, I could consider that kind also. Please recommend one?
bibihang, thanks. You meaning this ?
Shipping to Europe will be horrendous however, and then you’ll have duties to pay.
Hi olli, yes that is the one I mean. It comes well-driven in stock form and without visible PWM pattern in medium and low mode.
But at $34 that means with your current budget you only left $16 to buy batteries though.
Thanks. I am maybe buying these batteries
So my options are now the following, as you suggested:
http://www.banggood.com/Wholesale-TrustFire-3800Lumens-LM-T6-CREE-XML-XM-L-LED-Flashlight-Torch-3Pcs-p-49367.html Trustfire 3x xml t6 - 30 USD
http://www.banggood.com/Solarstorm-T3-3Cree-XM-L-U2-2700LM-4-Mode-LED-Flashlight-318650-p-933614.html Solarstorm T3 - 30.99 USD
http://www.banggood.com/Solarstorm-T4-4CREE-XM-L-U2-3200-Lumens-4-Mode-LED-Flashlight-318650-p-934015.html Solarstorm T4 - 33.99 USD
Currently, my favourite is Solarstorm T4. The price, size, and lumen amount are nice ones.
I have picked these prices from Banggood, but is there better alternative available? I would need the light quickly, but I wouldn’t like to have any courier shipping (EMS, DHL etc). Thank you all again.
Anything with the name fire in it, is not usually a wise purchase. Thats not a joke. There are Trustfire cells, that are good, but sadly they are so often faked that they are not worth trying to buy unless someone with experience can confirm the supplier is supplying the real deal.
Same goes for Ultrafire or and Im not joking again, Uranusfire and as said, ’anything’fire. DX has been a bit dodgey of late too, they all have their moments but from what Ive read Id avoid DX.
I had not seen that listing before, but Id like to see the mouse and keyboard that runs 18650s.
Not sure how much you already know, but here’s my advice (2 cents):
I would also avoid the cheaper Trustfire batteries and pay a little more for a Panasonic, LG, Samsung, or other known brand of cell, just for the reason that they have a better chance of not being defective (safer) and actually having the capacity they claim. I haven’t heard of Fasttech selling fake cells but I haven’t kept up will all the threads. Maybe try this one?

Member HJK has an extensive database for battery reviews here, if you have a few hours to research (and can understand all of his graphs, I’m not sure I can)

I’m kind of leery of cheep chargers as well, just because the larger companies (Nitecore, Xtar) hopefully have more testing and more of an incentive to make a better quality product. I don’t know what charger you have but since the new Nitecore charger has come out you might be able to find the older Intellicharger for cheap. I haven’t had any problem with my i2.
For multicell lights you also want to make sure the cells are balanced before using them, so I recommend checking the cells with a voltmeter after charging them and before putting them in the light. Something about having unbalanced cells is bad at the high currents, I don’t know enough to speak intelligently about it so maybe someone else can fill in here.
Also my 2 cents for you olli. Do not simply trust when they say it has “3800 lumens”, “3200 lumens” or whatever it is - These claims are mostly overrated and fake. As much as I know the T3 and T4 both have around 2400~2700 OTF (out the front) lumens according to some reviews, not even close to 3000 lumens, but at 2400 lumens you can expect it is still very bright though.
If we are talking about modding then yes, the T3 and T4 have the potential to break into 3000 or even 4000 lumens realm, but that is another story.
About making order with Banggood I would advice you to use the live chat function, send them the SKU of the product you want to order and confirm with them if they are in stock before you place your order. Sometimes these sellers did not update their stock status as you read in their product listing.
About the 18650 batteries I am agreed with what the other members have said, top it up a little and buy yourself good batteries like Panasonic, Samsung, Sanyo, LG… etc. Good batteries give you more safety, real (usually higher) capacity and higher current draw capability. High output lights are power hungry, and you need to feed them with good batteries. Authentic Trustfire Flames are good enough for flashlight use but the problem is we have no way to identify whether it is a ‘good’ or ‘bad’ Trustfire judging by their appearance.
