Looking for specific flashlight

No, my purchase was under name ‘censored’. It said censored from Portugal purchased a WK30’. I saw the message too! But it said ‘censored’.

Really? v2? I could have waited! :s I think I just purchased the remains! rsrsrs

Naa… you’ll be fine. The only upgrade I’ve heard of is type-c USB charging. I would have done exactly what you did and get a better price… Then see if you want to get a version 2 to add to the mix. I have the original you are getting. It is a good one.

Yep, it did say *****.

I originally posted *****, but then I thought twice about posting what your first name might actually be, and I censored my post.

Ohh ok. I completely missed that. Lol. But there is not problem in terms of privacy. This name is one of the most common names in Portugal.

My first name is quite common, too, but I'd rather BLF members call me "raccoon" or "rc" (or Alice or Milla) than by my first name.

I totally agree. I’ll delete references to it. Change any reference you made to my name too, please

I changed your name to "*****".

Thanks @raccoon city

The WK30 you bought is actually already an upgrade. Originally it came with a *3*95nm UV light that had more of a purple effect.

I held off until they had changed it to a *3*65nm.

Sorry ’bout the mistake.

Glad you bought the light. Pretty sure you’ll enjoy it. Might even find a use for the red emitter (visually friendlier in the dark)

No probs. Thanks for the info. I think the order is already processed and waiting to get a QR scan from the shipping company so that I can track it!

Hello.

So, I just got my flashlight. There are no instructions on about to apply the handle (the thread to wrap around our wrist, I guess) and it also have 2 circular rubbers. I have no idea what are these for.

Can anyone help?

Edited;

Also, the flashlight stopped working. I assume the battery died. I am charging it now. How do we know when is it at 100% charge?

The rubbers are extra seals for the battery tube, you’ll see one at each end already. The wrist strap should loop through holes in the end cap IIRC.

I use an external charger, hopefully someone else can chip in. Unusual for a fresh battery to just quit. Maybe one of the threads in the battery tube was loose, check that. It is designed so that loosening the threads a little can be a mechanical lockout to prevent accidental activations.

They don’t have to be overly tight, but should be a snug fit.

Ok, I think I got it. I didn’t notice the 2 rubber rings that were already in the flashlight! They are very well blended.
About the flashlight quitting, I’m not sure this is a feature or not, but apparently the thread of the back cover (where the battery goes in) needs to be 100% tight. If we don’t screw in the back cover completely until we feel a tight grip by rotating it clockwise, the flashlight simply makes not contact and won’t work at all. That’s why I think it “quit” working. I hope I explained myself clearly.

But I still have another question. For how long should we let it charge? How do we know the battery is full? Does it have overcharging protection? And if I let the battery charging after it is already at 100, will it enter that maintenance mode where only very short current bursts are sent to keep the battery always at 100 or will it damage the battery?

Explanation is clear, that is the mechanical lockout I was talking about. Think of it as a safety feature.

Usually there is a colour change on an LED on the switch or elsewhere to indicate full charge. That flashlight should have a good overcharging protection, it will enter a maintenance state. Likely a red to green colour change.

Ok, thanks.
About charging, when I put it to charge, now I see the switch led blinking red. Yesterday I couldn’t see it probably because the back cover wasn’t properly closed until that same right grip.
