Hi-I used a LED LENSER M14 the other night for photographing objects about 25-100 yards+ away.I sometimes shine light steady on something I want to highlight or sweep it back and forth over one or more objects. The M14 has a variable diameter beam.It was ok but after reading the forum a bit, perhaps I am sacrificing strength/distance with the focus mechanism?A decent CRI would be desirable.Run time not that important.About $125 maximum.Brightest is best for my purpose.Non adjustable beam width ok probably.About 7”max length would be nice. Thanks for any recommendations.I posted the original request a few days ago but have changed a few details.
I suggest the Acebeam K40M. This light has a decent CRI and will really blow your current light away. Your current light is 400 lumens with range of 320m while the K40M is 3000 lumens with range of 510m. K40M is under $100 - as low as $80.
Thanks Dangerous!
Wait, K40 is highly focused. Is this what you’re looking for? I see the M14 has flood beam, so sure that evens out the lighting. If you decide to go with something like K40 it will be totally different, with very bright spot at the center and dim spills on the sides.
Hi-Sounds good. Can you suggest a reputable seller at a competitive price?Thank you so much.
I think it would work for my purpose.I’ll check some reviews.
Try BangGood with BLF code. I suspect that is among the cheapest outside a group buy . K40M is a very nice flashlight. It is very noticeable that colors becomes visible using the K40M that were not visible with other flashlights. So good CRI.
Curious but what sort of things are you photographing?
I just started taking pics with a flashlight.Boats, buildings,a local bridge.Good for illuminating foreground when distant part of pic is somewhat bright or has lights shining.
