How about adding TURBO for both spotlight and floodlight together? Let me know your thoughts and suggestion. Thank you in advance.
From what Iāve read, I like the concept here
What I like:
- 519a for flood
- SFT-25R for throw
- Dial mode include lock mode
- Moonlight mode
- Turbo is not in the main cycle
- Battery can be replaced
- I like the dial placement, because it wont blind you if you turn on the side light.
However if I may, I would like to give some input:
- Make the dial control like a ātearā you know like a POI on maps with the pointy side point down/south. The advantage for this is, in darkness, I can feel which mode the flashlight is currenly set.
- Please add function to cycle down brightness as well.
- all LED 5000K / Hi CRI
- is is possible to make it regulated instead FET?
- make sure the dial only for change mode, thus it will not turn on the LED when itās off.
- when LED is on, lock mode will also turn the LED off.
- Please also make the gap between low-mid-high reasonable. Usually in Anduril 2, I set the mid to be the highest regulated lm.
I also backed this up. Hopefully this will be my ultimate EDC if you could implement my suggestions
Iām thinking, throw away the strobe - sos - beacon mode. Use the 3 click to turn on both flood - throw led. so the 2 click will turn on both on turbo. But in my opinion turbo both light is not necessary.
I am worried because they donāt say anything about the lumens of the white side light, nor about the LEDs used in it, nor if they are high CRI. I have the impression that the white side light will be quite dim, and therefore of little use, almost like a simple decorative element, and I think that is not what any of us would want. The white side light should give at least 500 lumens, with 4000-5000 degrees kelvin and be high cri.
Iāll take the opportunity to ask you a question about another of your light: the SK03.
I was one of your backer for the SK03. On paper this light was amazing but disappointing in real life. Beside the non-sens 8 clicks (8!!!) to lock/unlock, the switch is so easy to activate by mistake since itās a raised button.
Do you still plan on releasing a flat/recessed switch for the SK03 ?
Check again the design of the button on this flashlight and the information there is about it, you will see how your question does not make sense
The question was corrected 1 minute after being published since I realised itās a rotary switch and as a āālockāā position
Will the side light be able to be used as electronic tritium like the SK03 ( very dim constant on locator) ?
I think this side light is close to what wurkkos HD01 or sofirn IF23/24 has. But good question, since I want to know too if it is just a dim LED.

LOOP GEAR SK05 Series: Compact Yet Powerful Flashlights, via @Kickstarter https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/loopgearsk05/loop-gear-sk05-all-in-1-dial-control-flat-flashlight?ref=android_project_share
On the thread here it says that hold from off goes to moonlight, but on the Kickstarter page it says hold from off goes to full power. Which is it?
I donāt want to wake up in the night and turbo myself when I expect moonlight.
Hi Chris, sorry for the late update,
hold from off(unlock) goes to Turbo.
Thank you for the confirmation. With every other light I have hold from off goes to moonlight, so Iām out.
Canāt you update this?
Since it doesnt make sense to hold from off ā Turbo.
This is not a tactical flashlight, so I think Turbo direct access from off is not important.
I agree with this completely
Loop guys, Iām not sure you care or not, but I guess you can consider this my customer feedbackā¦

It would really be nice to offer this light and with multiple tint options including 4500k.
-
Sft40 for the thrower, not sure they make one in 4500k but maybe 5000k.
-
Nichia 519a for the flood is a great choice, so kudos to you for that. Although Iād also like to know what the angle of the beam is. I really prefer very wide for flood 90-120 degrees.

just looked on zeroair website and it seems none of your lights use a buck or boost driver thatās why the runtime starts dimming way too soon and doesnāt last as long as it could.
I really like the design of this light a lot but am not interested in getting one until it has a buck driver.
- And finally, I would like to SEE torture tests/drop tests, repeated drops, preferably more than 10 drops, to see if the light can handle it.
Every manufacturer makes claims but they provide no proof.
If the light can handle a 6 foot drop, not only show me a video of that, but preferably repeated drops, then show me an up close damage to the camera, slowly, then show me that all the light functions are still functioning properly, after multiple repeated drop tests.
So, it is a 2x18650 light which does ~80-450 non-regulated, low CRI, 6500K lumens for $100? Thatās roughā¦
The Pro version has high CRI for the flood emitters (Nichia 519a), the throw emitter is an SFT25R which is low CRI and cold white but IMO thatās not a problem for a thrower. According to Reddit, the Pro version will come with a buck driver, however we may need the first reviews to come out to confirm and it will of course be more expensive.
The UI is still broken though.
Personally I donāt care if it has a moon light, I donāt ever use super low modes.
I care about runtime and I really prefer 4500k high cri, and I prefer both lights to be at least roughly the same tint.
Also Iām not sure if the light uses power from both batteries when only one light is on, in other words, when the light is running, is it using 4000 mah it 8000 mah?
