Lumintop 007 Torpedo operating issues

I just received a new 007 torpedo from GearBest.
I m using a OLight 3.7 volt 650 mAh protected fully charged battery.

Problems:

The light has will no longer enter moonlight mode. It did when i first tested it.

It lights in turbo mode but does not step down. Turns off after a short period and does not turn on again.

Sometimes needs several clicks to turn on.

Anyone have similar issues? Lumintop states RCR123A are compatible.

It should start in low, not in turbo. No similar problems here. I run mine on an Efest IMR battery.

Could it be a short so that the driver is bypassed and the led is always on max? That does not explain the switch not working well.

I ll try an Efest IMR battery as well. Maybe my problems, no moonlight mode and no turbo stepdown, just a shutdown, are due to a protected battery???
My light does start on low when I begin using it.
