Lumintop Tool AA 2.0 vs 3.0

Lumintop Tool AA 3.0 is available now, and there are some upgrades. I don’t know how to insert tables, so I made a simple chart to compare them

Have they gotten rid of the excessively bright and power hungry blue lights in the tail cap that drain a 14500 battery?

And why is there no information on this light on Lumintop’s site?

Okay, thank you very much

It exists. See the chart for the difference.

As for the manufacturer’s website, it may take a while. Maybe they are busy developing other products :joy:

It might be auto RGB now?

Does it have a copper mcpcb and did they get rid of the strobe in the UI?

You’re right, RGB

1 Thank

Yes, it does have a copper mcpcb.

About Storbe: When the flashlight is on,
Click the tail switch 6 times in a row or rotate the head switch 6 times

That’s a shame, they got rid of the nice 219C 90cri. Would’ve made for a nice gift if it came in neutral 219C or a newer emitter (219F/519A). Looks like Lumintop keeps shifting further and further from what enthusiasts want.

3 Thanks

Will the UV version also be updated?

Not sure yet

Damn, specs are good.

On this light without LVP, how does one dechiper battery voltage? Does the illuminated tail flash with estimated voltage when you turn it on? Or maybe flash when it hits a certain point?

Surely everyone using these great little lights isn’t carrying around a meter in their back pocket to check voltages while in the middle of their objective.

The Tool AA uses protected button top 14500 batteries.

Right, Right… I understand protected cell approach… but is that the only option here?

It’s my understanding that protected 14500’s have a pretty low current rating. With these small lights getting brighter & brighter, are we riding the edge of tripping the average 3a circuit?

Does this light come with one of these batteries?

Additionally, I was also interested in the Silver Fox & am wondering the same thing about an included protected battery.

there are different versions of Tool AA… some have LVP and Aux lights. Here is a review with more info.

both the Tool and Fox offer the option to buy as a bundle w Lumintop battery… take a look at the listings on Lumintoplighting.com

Not sure about others but this table tool doesn’t work for me.

Column 1 Column 2 Column 3
1 2 3
4 5 6

Hmm, what happens when you try to use it?
