How would you say the W2 compares as a dedicated thrower against something like a TD01c or L21B?
I know it’s a more versatile light but curious if you’d recommend it if throw (and some spill) is all you were after?

Hi Dan, those two lights you mentioned have different brightness settings for the spot beam. So you can lower it. The W2 is just one high setting. The other two also produce some natural spill with the reflector. No spill with the W2 unless you activate it. 4 clicks activates flood+ spot at the same time. Hard to choose between them honestly. If I had to, I’d probably go the W2 as it’s just more interesting to me and has onboard charging plus a red light mode.

But you won’t need the W2 if all you’re after is flood+spill. Either the TD01C or L21B are excellent options. Get the xhp70.3HI in the L21B. Crazy flood and spot at the same time

So it’s w1 with a LED instead of LEP?
With the W1, you can choose either LEP or LED spot beam.
It’s an awesome light, went out with it last night to do beamshots. I wish they used a metal button though. I don’t like the feel and reduced durability of these rubber switches.
No the W1 has LEP spot and LED flood(and the flood is full on mule-style with no beam shaping at all). The LEDs DEFINITELY can’t do spot as they have zero form of optic or reflector(I’ve got a W1).
