My First Post

I Got the trial qualification of Lumintop Worm 4.0 (The 4th Generation) as staff. I had it played on hand for a week.In generally, Worm 4.0 have a great improvement on the twist hand feeling to turn on/off or switch modes with silicone ring around the head. This is worthy of recognition at this point for lumintop keep improved their products. Also with one additional Clip added to increase its practical characteristic as ideal keychain flashlight.

I got a complete set of worm which includes
1 x Worm
1x Key-ring
2x O ring
It packed in a clear simple plastic box with outside Black sleeve.

Design

The whole body just like a worm so that why “Worm”, isn’t that cute
It is matt finish but I like the gloss on the surface very much.

Then Let’s take more close look on the worm. There is a simple design stainless steel clip and looks firm.
I am try to disassembled the clip but it has glue fixed. Then I got the other one without glue and take apart them. The clip inside is very simple too. The clip seems use simple principle of the physical to work (use Different direction of the force ??) . Clever way

And the Glow-in-the-Dark anti –slip ring is removeable

OP reflector and CREE XPG2 R5 LED

Glow-in-the-Dark front O-ring

Compared to AAA Flashlight, from left to right:
Lumintop Copper Tool AAA, Tool Ti, SS worm. Bronte RA01 maratac AAA and Worm. We can see that the worm size is very compact.

UI User Interface
Lumintop Worm UI is very simple. Just twist the head right or left to turn on/off or switch modes.
The default modes is from mid modes and it will cycle from Mid-Low-High, no memory. With silicone ring on head, it is Ok to change modes with one hand now.

Uses 1 x AAA battery

Runtime test on high modes:

I took some photos to show the brightness in actual usage scenarios:
Worm – Low Mode I*SO200 F3.2 1/2secs*

Worm – Mid Mode ISO200 F3.2 1/2secs

Worm – High Mode ISO200 F3.2 1/2secs

Conclusion:

Lumintop 4th Gen Worm is not a bad Choice as a mini keychain light. The brightness can satisfy daily use and size is small & lite weight enough for everyday carry. It differs from man to man regarding the appearance.

Welcome to BLF
And what a first post you made here!
Great review, thanks!

Thanks for the nice review. I like reviews with lots of pics.

I current have the AAA Tool. Very happy with it. Would love to own the SD75 and the SD4A. But the SD75 is a little too spendy for me. Maybe in the future.

As for the SD4A, I was all set to get it, even paid Banggood but they claimed it was out of stock, and they kept prodding me to take a refund it seems. Then I look at their page on the SD4A again and it says ‘in stock’, but with a higher price. It seems they might have ‘sold’ it to me for too low a price and are hoping I would back out, which I finally did.

As for the Worm, it is too similar to the Tool for me to consider, and given my preference for clicky over twisty, I doubt I will ever buy one. But thanks for the review nonetheless.

Outstanding post, even more impressive first post!
