Unfortunately the driver cannot offer the additional AA / NiMh compatibility without adding downsides as:
low power in AA/NiMh config + HIGH parasitic drain + with 14500 its turbo only
So Lumintop decided to stay with the GT micro in the footsteps of the BLF GT: single LED – HIGH output – HIGH throw (for its size)
(the Narsil AA/NiMh/14500 design is not burried…. there are more projects to be developed ;) )
No AA support is a major bummer. Aside from that correction, what makes this interest list with limited information and no disclosed pricing different from the last interest list with limited information and no disclosed pricing?
Lumintop would love to have a working driver - believe me! They like selling flashlights.
but that seems not to be available atm.
maybe we get a GT micro 2.0 in 4 to 10 months?
another interest list? link please
information will be added to the interest list as to the discussion thread as they are confirmed.
but they need to see how many go with their decission and still get a micro.
The Vapcell 14500 made be enough interested to want this light. And that it finally seems a worthy successor of my Romisen RC-G2 (the X5 was too thick and front-heavy for that).
