I used the light 3X. At my expense because ultimately I lose money again, I had to convince myself Again That floodlights don’t do anything for me.

The light itself does what it’s supposed to do. It’s beautiful looking and the fan works great. I ran it 55 minutes and the low voltage light didn’t even come on. It was 3.70 volts when I got home.

I got blindsided when I sold the X75 a week ago. It had to be shipped USPS ground advantage. It cost me $36.55! I am always compromising and willing to be fair.

The lady at the post office said depending on the state, with California being the most expensive, it would be between $16 and $21 to ship USPS ground advantage.

I live on the east coast ,California would cost the most. We will call it $16 and split it. Even if the buyer lives in California or out west .

Buyer must agree to add $8 to the agreed sale price.

BTW I received the light on March 4th 2026 for the price of $162 from AliExpress.

To my surprise, the battery that I got from Ali arrived today, and It Works. The advertisement on Ali says Eve. The only thing on the battery is a QR code. I took pictures of both of them. The Eve battery is also positive and negative on the top.

In 1Lumen review of the Light he stated the Lumintop battery was positive and negative on the top and that the the bottom of that battery has an isolator? Not sure exactly what that means.

All I can tell you is I put the EVE battery in the light and it worked . it came at 3.500 volts.

My little invention, creativity to carry the eve spare battery case I want to use the light for a few hours. Unlikely cuz I love my throwers but you never know.

A large pill bottle that I keep my battery carriers in.And a little bit of a rag on top for the padding so it doesn’t Shuffle around.

Final thought about batteries being shipped. The Eve battery was wrapped very well several times in bubble wrap and then placed in a padded envelope. No warning signs/ Hazardous stickers on the outside or anything. Lumintop.. I’m only going to say one negative thing about them because there could be a lot more from my experience, they won’t ship their 46950 unless it’s in a flashlight because of international laws she said.

How does samsung, Murata, LG Panasonic etc etc ship their batteries from Asia to the United states? They’re not in flashlights. I’m sure they have to follow some guidelines but I’ve seen a box at my local dealer it was just a box with hundreds of batteries in it. All separated in divided cardboard compartments

So it is a combination of people like Ali doing what they want , others following some guidelines without putting them in flashlights and then the other one Lum… who BS’s you!

I’m thinking that shipping cells inside of devices is less regulated and cheaper. Maybe Lumintop would need a license which they don’t currently have so it’s technically true for them. I know Convoy used to avoid selling bare cells–they might still I haven’t checked.

Those other companies you mentioned are huge and are operating on a totally different scale from a flashlight brand.

Whst about AliExpress?!! Lol

They’re a decent size company aren’t they bigger than Lumintop? Lumintop has a store there. Is it illegal what Ali is doing? If so, Why would they take that risk?

I bought a premade 4s3p 18650 battery pack off AE and they shipped it free, by air. It was shipped in bubble wrap, layers of tape, and the pack was wrapped in fiberglass matting, supposedly in the event it went ballistic to keep the fire from spreading? Maybe because it was a battery pack with a BMS and not bare cells? I think thr regulations may be different for loose batteries outside of a real battery pack (unless there’s some deception in customs?)

The 46950 batteries come configured this way because they’re designed for EV use and industrial applications where there’s many different use cases. The end users customize them how they want for that application. it’s cheaper for the manufactuter to make a one-size fits all battery battery, but yes, you can use these with either the anode and cathode on the top or separate like traditional batteries. All you need to do is either isolate the ground ring on the top (a plastic disc ideally) or isolate the bottom. Astrolux does it that way.

I’m glad it works. I was a little concerned putting it in. I’m surprised they don’t put their name on it. It might not be an eve that’s what Allie advertises hiking with my buddy and using voice activation might be mistakes.

It was only $22. Wonder what the quality is?!

We can turn my terminated thread into 46950 battery seminar. I’m still not clear on what isolated means for the bottom of the cell. I asked moochie he gave me like several scenarios. Confusing. My thinking is because of positive and negative are up top the bottom has no electrical value to the battery for lack of a better word. It’s like a dummy bottom it’s closed off. Is that right? He told me not necessarily in the rest of it I don’t remember. I probably older than 95% of you youngsters on here I’ll be 66 in june. Short-term memory is not that great

These are usually always either pulls from battery packs or grade A pieces that didn’t meet some QC test specification and were rejected from.thr production batch. That doesn’t mean they wont perform well though, just they dont meet the required spec. I suspect every 46950 out there is one of the above (could be wrong though).

If you strip the wrap off a 18650 or 21700 or 26650 the whole outside of the ‘can’ is the negative pole of the battery. Just the top part (you can see a very thin isolator/gasket separating the anode and cathode) is the positive pole the button top or the flat part. That’s why they’re wrapped.

For these very big batteries, there’s a lot of room between the negative and positive on the top, so depending on the application, you can have all of the electrical connections on the top of the battery, OR you can opt to have the traditional negative bottom, positive top (or both). This makes the cell very versatile and customizable for a number of applications where space and design/layout restrictions or parameters dictate the arrangement of electrical inputs or outputs.

What does the reviewer from 1Lumen mean by ISOLATOR?

I Googled it but it didn’t give a clear answer.

I think this blue, supposedly Eve battery is either one of those scenarios. Used it this morning. Its performance was not good.

Took a full charge. The voltage was okay when I got home. But the output was noticeably lower on turbo and high 2.

Probably a worn down battery that didn’t have enough amps to sustain either of those as they should?

They say our eyes are fooled as far as lumens go. Possibly. But I think anyone’s eyes can tell the difference between something like 8,000 and 3,000 lumens. After 10 or so minutes of use that’s what Hi 2 looked liked.
It’s an emergency spare battery.
