Hey guys, I have some questions in regard to Maglite D cells flashlight.
Most of the upgrades on market will only fit ” D ” in serial number flashlight. I want to upgrade and need to know how or where to obtain these lights brand new.
I want to upgrade Maglite 4-6 D cells from brand new host flashlight with ” D ” serial number. Not used ones.
Any leads? Thanks.

Since the head sizes are identical, or at least, used to be,these should work in the C cell MagLites, too.
Hmmm…From reading several sources, it seems I have been away from the flashlight world too long! Are MagLites now being made offshore? “Old” and “new” models?
I have two, one a 3 D cell, that I modified with a LUXEON III, heatsink and some other oddments. Rewiring the switch was a real wollybugger! My first and last mod attempt! The last one I got was a 3C model Incan, with a “C” in its serial number. (New or old??) I bought a LED bulb for it , which works very well. 
Somebody bring me up to date, please.

Lumencraft has several dropins and diy heatsinks for Maglite. Any D cell Mag-lite manufactured in the last several decades has a D in the serial number.
