Manker E03iii or Skilhunt H150

These lights are very similar in size and price.
With the obvious differences being the Manker has the filters and is a little brighter and less runtime, the Skilhunt magnetic charging a little less bright with longer runtime. My comparison with brightness is based on the 519. Which would you prefer and why. Just trying to see if there is something else I should be considering. Thanks

Here are two reviews, suggest you read them and then decide:

H150

E03H

compare and contrast:

the Manker has 3 moonlight modes, the Skilhunt has 2.
the Manker has some sawtooth in the scope trace, the Skilhunt trace is flat and free of fluctuations.
the Manker has the switch button on the End, the Skilhunt has the button on the Side.
the Manker does Not have any battery status indicator, the Skilhunt does show battery status every time the light is switched on.
the Manker has filters, the Skilhunt does not
the Skilhunt has magnetic charging, the Manker does not
the Skilhunt headband is a clip, on the Manker it is a loop.

I would choose the Skilhunt, mainly because of the battery status indicator

otoh, the Manker switch seems less likely to turn on accidentally in pocket, though both lights can be physically locked out by loosening the tailcap slightly

maybe buy both on Amazon, and return the one you dont prefer

I have purchased bunch of Manker lights, all I can say is this company takes flashlights seriously. Tremendous attention to detail.

I have the Manker E02ii and really like it so I was leaning toward the E03iii. However I don’t have any Skilhunt lights and wasn’t sure how it would compare beyond the obvious. Such as the aforementioned aspect of quality.

I don’t think for me the battery status would sway me jon as I have quite a few lights that I have to remove the battery to test capacity.

I’m also not sure I would use the filters on the Manker very often or at all.

I do like the extra runtime of the Skilhunt however.

Jon maybe I’ll just get them both and keep them both. :joy:

the E02ii is a nice little AAA light and maybe the UI is more similar to the E03 than the H150, not sure…

On the E03 and H150 comparison, the switch position seems to be one of the biggest differences.

I look forward to your impressions of whichever lights tickle your fancy

I keep an H150 in my car

btw, a note on driver differences, on the Skilhunt, the output is regulated on both battery types, on the Manker the LiIon runs unregulated. Both are regulated on AA…

correction, both the AA Manker and AA Skilhunt have regulated output on both AA and 14500…

I have both, but I prefer the skilhunt. The headband is of much beter quality and the headlamp doesn’t dangle as much as the manker does on your forehead
Also the switch of the manker is hard to feel/press and sits on top which I don’t like
Also, to use the color/diffuser filter on the manker, you must take the filter of to put it before the light, you cannot turn around the filter, although the design seems there

Manker E03H III has stabilization on the LiIon!

According to the linked zeroair review, the Manker still has the UI which I find annoying- you can’t go from moonlight to “general mode” without turning the light off(!)

33gr vs 40gr. Side vs top switch. I guess, people buying small headlamps because of low weight… and low or short power output.

1 Thank

Just like the Skilhunt H150!

thank you, I corrected my mistake…

it was the old AAA model that was unregulated on LiIon, the new model is regulated:

excellent points
I agree the Skilhunt headbad is superior. The main decision points between the AA Manker and the AA Skilhunt is the position of the switch, and that the Manker has no Battery Charge Level indicator, while the Skilhunt does.

I’ll probably go with the Skilhunt since I already have the E02ii. What’s one more UI configuration? :joy:
If I don’t pick up a certain light for a couple weeks I have to relearn it all again. The one downside of having a good number of lights.

I’m also happened to have both. I have H150 3000k for about a year and E03H III 4000k for a few months.

I prefer H150 for a better headband and UI. Although the E03H is brighter and much stronger magnet. I find in some situations that E03H stick to a not so good surface metal while H150 fail.

Here is a comparison. Some brightness are not similar in some modes so I chose the highest moonlight mode on both.

2H goes from low group to medium group on the H150.

The new AAA E02 iii , like E03 iii, has regulation on both fuel types now.

Both probably linear on lithium?
