A couple of years ago we got a group buy for the MAXToch DX21 MAXToch DX21 Searchlight Group Buy: CLOSED However this is what we got MAXToch DX21 Searchlight Group Buy: CLOSED Any chance we could get a BLF build done where the light does do 3.0 amps each LED. And this time use Cree XP-L V6’s. I have this light and two I built here Shadows BL20 mod. I’d like to see the MAXToch DX21 or really close done right. 2500 Lumens turbo, 4 modes 26650 battery single switch and waterproof. I regularly EDC an 18350 or 18650 light for day and night. However when out working at night or in larger open areas I still use the DX21 but they only delivered half of what was promised. This light might be closer to the “working man’s” light than the smaller 18650’s in the past but still small enough for the pocket. Anyone interested?

To be honest with you it’s going to have to be done from the ground up. I’ve emailed them and am waiting for a response. Pictures of the circuit board showed 8 spots for 7135’s just on one side and 2 on the other, but only 8 were used. How to: Modding the Maxtoch DX21 My goal would be to go to 16 7135’s. When I tested the light at the 3.04 amp setting it could drain the battery and not be too hot to hold. Good heat management at that level. Very waterproof, single tube entry point for battery, it’s a dive light. 4mm lenses, plunger style water proof switch. I’d like to see 4 modes with strobe as a double tap. Currently it’s 3 modes with strobe as a double tap. I don’t know if the parts are exclusive MAXToch or not. Dual XP-L on a 26650 what’s not to like.
