I have the 4 amp Maxtoch M24 Sniper from Mountain Electronics .
I love Bistro UI and have several lights running it.
Can I get Bistro UI into the M24?
I have not opened the head and couldn’t find any photos to get a peek at the driver.
After reading Dale’s post , I swapped the switch for a reverse clicky. That’s a start, right?
The driver is a whole lot bigger than the driver from the x5. I dunno if bistro is available on any differently sized drivers.
It’s a T-6 sized torx bit you need to open the M24, btw.

Aardvark, thanks for the photo. Looks like you opened it for a spring mod and some time in the oven!
Will34, I was afraid that might be an issue.
I want Bistro UI mainly for more output modes, memory on/off, and L > H output order.
Is there a compatible driver with some of these features?

Guppydrv firmware may be an option but you’d need a driver that would allow you to use 2 18650s in series with a 3v led…a buck driver. You can usually piggyback a fet driver with no problems but you can’t really piggyback a buck driver because they run hot. You’ll need a buck driver that’ll fit the light or fashion some sort of adapter that will fit and still provide heat sinking to the buck driver.
