Men's Necklaces (a.k.a. Chains)

I really don’t know.
I don’t think the AliExpress page says.

It could have some appeal to the “tactical” crowd, you could take it off and use it as a flail!

:+1:

Plus, you can get the chain and the tie and really be a Hip Hop Schmuck! :joy::skull::joy:

(If I ever become a deejay, that’d be a great stage-name…)

Yep, I agree.
If anyone wants to call me a Hip Hop Schmuck, I won’t be offended.
In fact, I think the phrase is pretty funny. :grinning:

Chains can be useful.

I doubt anyone on BLF will be shocked, but I ordered a third chain necklace…
Yes, I am the Hip Hop Schmuck!

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07KM3N5TL
I ordered this one because it’s currently $10
This one doesn’t have much feedback on Amazon, but it looks the same as another chain with a lot of positive feedback on Amazon.
I wouldn’t be surprised if a lot of these chains are all manufactured at the same factory in China (and then given different brand names), just like some flashlights are.
The one that I just ordered looks to be the 15mm version of my 12mm chain. :+1:

Its not a dog chain, it’s called Cuban link, it’s the most popular men’s type of a chain.

I like em a lot. About 8-10mm wide 24" long.

I have both a silver chain on my near future wish list and a 24k gold chain on my long term wish list. Unfortunately the gold one is like $30k, silver is about $400

Check out these for silver

This guy is more expensive but he makes them by hand and has more than just cuban link style, my favorite being Byzantine

When it comes to gold I only care about 22k or 24k

Rays gold & cash in Miami builds them by hand

There’s also Daniels jewelry in Miami

I have three chains.
Each chain is 30 inches long.
I decided to weigh them, along with my favorite headlight.

154g 5.4oz 9mm chain (small)
206g 7.3oz 12mm chain (medium)
247g 8.7oz 15mm chain (large)
178g 6.3oz Sofirn HS20 + 18650 cell

I learned the hard way that my neck can handle the small chain, or the medium chain, but not the large chain.
If I wear a chain that weighs too much, I eventually get a headache.
I plan to wear the medium chain every day to try to build up muscle in my neck so that someday I can handle the large chain.
Now because I can handle the medium chain but not the large chain, I don’t know if I could handle a 1x21700 headlight.
I mean, I could probably wear a 1x21700 headlight for a little while, but if it weighs too much I’ll eventually develop a headache.
By the way, when I wear my headlight, I take off my chain. :slightly_smiling_face:

I just thought of a couple of things…
I am near-sighted, so I wear glasses.
Also, I frequently wear over-ear headphones.
So…
Glasses + Headphones + Large chain = too much weight for my neck.

EDIT:
The headphones weigh 238g (8.4oz), so if I don’t wear my chain or my headphones, I’ll be able to handle a 1x21700 headlight with ease.

That’s nature’s way of telling you you have overbling.

2 Thanks

Yeah, and it took me quite a while to figure it out.
What I did was wear all three chains at once, along with my headphones, and that’s when it dawned on me that my recent headaches were caused by overbling. :grinning:

Mr. T would say: “There is no such thing as overbling, you fool!”.

Skibidi DJ doesn’t need bling…

I ordered this Herringbone chain necklace from AliExpress…

“Top Qualität 75CM * 10MM Hip Hop Herren Fischgräten Schlange Kette Goldene…”

I wanted something with plenty of surface area, but it needed to be more lightweight than my Cuban chain necklaces.
(I’ve been experiencing headaches because I think my Cuban chain necklaces are too heavy.)
Also, I wanted stainless steel without any silver/gold plating.
I looked on Amazon, eBay, Google Shopping, and AliExpress.
I couldn’t find exactly what I was looking for (at a decent price) anywhere except AE.
This Herringbone chain necklace is actually kinda pricey considering how lightweight and fragile it is, but it was the best deal I could find.
(Herringbone chains aren’t as popular as Cuban chains, and maybe the manufacturing process is more complicated for Herringbone?)
In a couple of weeks, we’ll see if I like it or not.

I received the Herringbone chain necklace today.
It weighs 94 grams.
Hopefully I can wear it without experiencing headaches. :slightly_smiling_face:

I also have some sad news.
My laptop died today.
It won’t turn on, and I don’t know how to repair laptops.
I could take it to a local repair shop, but I think that they charge $150 just to look at the laptop, and the laptop isn’t worth that kind of repair price.
The laptop worked great for 11 years and 5 months.
Rest in Power, my Asus G75VW. :face_holding_back_tears:

I feel your pain. This laptop’s already playing with house money. Disk glitchiness, unresponsive keys, wifi wackiness… urg.

Got a Linux laptop I never really used, probably need to install a vm to give it a Winblows sandbox that can’t hurt anything or anybody.

I’m thinking about replacing the dead laptop with a mini PC that I build myself.
The mini PC wouldn’t be able to play demanding PC games, but it should be good enough for most other tasks, plus I think I can put it together for about $263 plus tax, which is very reasonable. :dollar:

The motherboard is currently selling for quite a bit more than before… :money_mouth_face:
All of the components are cheapest at Amazon.
Should I wait until Black Friday/Cyber Monday?
I have a desktop in my bedroom, but I want a PC in the living room, too. :desktop_computer:

EDIT:
I just placed the order.
The total was $286.42 before tax. :slightly_smiling_face:

How does it compare to this?
