Mini MarkII Combo, TI Rainbow

he says “take on the baton”, and those boxes are identical to smini olight boxes, would be suprised if new owner wasnt olight. Have always liked my 47’s lights, sad to hear this

I have the standard aluminum version purchased when same just came out and the special edition titanium, rainbow PVD titanium and copper purchased recently. In my case the hardest to turn is the rainbow PVD despite spending over one hour doing cleaning over and over again. Improved little. This beautifull coating is effective but is also rather slippery, so that definitely makes it a two-hand operation, a big turn off for me in an EDC item. The bead blasted titanium one is the next less difficult to turn but it is still kind of hard. On the plus side this is very light and it is not slippery. The easiest to turn is the copper version which despite being the heaviest of all them is the one now in my pocket. All skip modes somehow but it does not bother me as much as the two-handed affair. Another issue that I find I do not like is the set up or configuration as it is kind of tricky to do for me. One day the aluminum version just fell off my hands on the concrete floor and that was all that was needed to change configuration automatically to another mode, which I did not expect nor wished. Took a lot of time and effort to figure it out to change it back. I really love the tints of the special editions specially in the bare titanium and the copper versions I received, a huge plus and motivating factor besides size for purchasing so many. True, a perfect flashlight will never exist, but these ones give plenty of lumens in a small package and I am glad I purchased same at those prices, as otherwise I could not have. I would just expect to have them in use for the next years, but of course only time will tell.

congrats on your rainbow Ti score
both are protected cells… I like the USB version of the Fenix, also protected

those are not protected, and the lights have no built in protection, so, a responsible user would need to monitor battery discharge. There is no Low voltage indicator on the Mini Mk2, otoh, there IS low voltage indicator on your Mi1c… which means not having to open the light to check voltage… I wish my Olight S Mini had low voltage indicator.

Using IMR in a Mini Mk2, or S Mini, or Klarus Mi1c won’t make any difference in brightness, since the modes are regulated afaik. With the possible exception of the Turbo mode, for a few seconds… but for a user comfortable with IMR, both the Aspire and Keepower 1200 mAh models are available… almost double the capacity of the other cells mentioned.

fwiw, the foursevens sale prices continue here:
https://www.ebay.com/sch/kingofsoles24/m.html?\_nkw=&\_armrs=1&\_ipg=&\_from=

I believe that is a former foursevens employee who is selling off the unsold stock from the business… I also believe he wears a size 11.5 shoe :-). I don’t know what size David Chow wears, but that seller is located just 30 miles from the foursevens mailing address… hmmm

nice one!

Thanks for the latest update. I purchased my mkII raw copper version in that ebay store and also a quark QP2L-X as replacement of one that I sadly lost a few weeks ago. Both packages came sealed and brand new just as it was done at the 47s web page. Shipping charges were reasonable.

because I like to post pics (not my lights), Maratac and Mini Mk2

these are mine, S Mini and Maratac

now Im tempted by the Mi1c copper… anybody with all 3 of the CR123 copper lights mentioned, care to share a pic of their beams? Or do I have to just buy them all myself… lol

Imo they are all made by Olight, and share some but not all features… each has different modes for example, two out of 3 have TIR lenses… only the Mi1c has low voltage indicator…

You’re supposed to give details as to where it was lost just in case one of us happens to be in the area with a metal detector. My mom was born in Colon. Her parents worked on the army base there. Welcome to the forum

btw, countycomm is out of CR123 sized battery lockers, so I tried a Pico Pull XL for my 16340 cells… works great!

costs real money, very snug fit, have to slap my hands together to get the cell out… but its a winner!
