what’s a good mini sized digital multimeter that runs off of 1 or 2 AA/AAA batteries? I mean small, like a pack of cigarettes.
closest I found was a Kobalt DT-103 but that takes some weird battery. I’m having problems finding anything else.

Hey welcome to the forum! This is a great question, I’m also in the market for something similar
Hmm, Aneng 8009? Uses 2x AAA. Size: you would need to check if this is ok. It is quite accurate and light.
you said it’s “quite accurate and light” so you have used it before, and you know it’s not small.
With your attitude I recommend you don’t interact with other people. Yes, the aneng 8009 is small, much smaller than any other multimeter I used that is any good, and for me too small and light.
It’s small for a meter, I haven’t seen any less than that unless you really only want a voltmeter and don’t need any other functions.
A quick search for “pen size multimeter” brings up a few ideas…
ANENG A3008
I have already decided not to follow any of your recommendations. they are stupid.
the Aneng AN8009 is 130x65x30mm, entirely common.
excuse me, but saying “With your attitude I recommend you don’t interact with other people” is rude, and he got what he had coming. tell me if you agree or not.
I agree with his statement.
You have the right to excercise your personality and spend your time with people that you get along with. But I also have the right to enforce the forum rules here, and it’s obvious that this isn’t the right forum for you.
