K51 host
Curiosity led me to this purchase and just wanted to let you know my findings.
Quite regular host which I didn’t test deeply but just a few comments which may help in taking up the decision.
The quality isn’t great. Average I’d say. The overall impression was spoilt by the dirt and flaws. It requires a little cleaning. Some particles of aluminum left after machining, unknown marks of glue on the reflector base and regular dirt. Quite easy to get rid of these nonetheless it shouldn’t be like this.
No AR coating on front glass (diameter 48mm). Reflector not compatible with C8 family. One flaw on the tailcap probably result of dropping down. Chinese switch of not popular producer. Main tube threads over lubed while other threads dry as desert.
Indeed 20mm LED shelf and 22mm driver cavity - at least consistency on most important specs.
So if are OK with the above I think it’s going to be a good host. A reasonable alternative to Manta Ray C8.2 for example. It comes with a lanyard, additional spring with copper cap ending and a white washer for… something
