Hey I’m a complete noob in this department. I saw some discussions on here for modding existing light fixtures for being motion activated though that wouldn’t be the same. I was curious if anyone could tell me if it was possible to mod any battery operated light to be motion sensored and how one could go about this.
Depends on how much room you got in the light.
If everything’s a tight fit, forget it. Even a teeny accelerometer board still needs something to switch power on/off while itself “staying alive”, and you’d need a controller to, well, control it.
Just look on AX to see if them nice little Choinese fellas have one already built for sale.
I have no idea where it disappeared to, but I had a light that I replaced the switch with a mercury switch.
Upside-down, off. Turn it rightside-up, and it turns on.
