Hi,I purchased a Uniquefire hs-802 light with XM-L2 LeD and single mode only but not as
bright as my C8 flashlight. It is only pulling 1.43 amps which is a lot less than my other flashlights, with it being a solid brass pill would it be ok bypassing the driver and wiring the
emitter direct using protected batteries.cheer terry
you need a new driver with+–3A bvb. one nanjg 2.8 –3.05 A you can it buy fasttech, intloutdoor, mountainelectronics…….
Had a look at the driver you said and is a multi mode driver,i need just a single mode driver as the flashlight will be going on my gun for night hunting.cheers anyway terry
Hi Turbo. You should be ok if you put the emitter on a copper (Notigon or Sinkpad) base. Brass isn't as good as copper or aluminum, but it should be fine for one cell. If you have the skill, reflow the copper base to your brass pill to get a very good thermal connection.
Get this driver, solder the 3rd star, and then you’ll have 15% and 100%. I know you want 1 mode, but I think for the price and power output this is a pretty good compromise!
you can direckt drive your flashlight with xml2 .
+ to the spring solder of your driver and the - on the outside.
its very bright than.
