It can be done with some practice on every KING out there, first of all see the pics:
Three LEDs ON
Two LEDs ON
One LED ON
Side by side with 504B (on the left) XM-L U2 1A with KDV2 in Moonlight Mode. King is on the right.

Well, it’s not difficult to do, all you have to do is turn it on, and start unscrewing it slowly. When it turns OFF, screw it a little bit and press button, repeat until it turns on, if it starts with too much brightness, unscrew a little bit, and repeat the process with patience and after some practice you are done.
If you unscrew it too much not all three leds will turn on like in my pics, I don’t know if it’s because of lower VF or maybe because of it’s subdrivers difference.
Again, with some time and practice you can do it well, mine is turned on for five hours without turning off and without blinking, if you don’t do it well enough it can blink or turn off at any time. If you press the head it may also affect.
Here I add two videos:

Another tip (not about moonlight), when you have the bug on the KING, it happens this way: High - Low - High(instead of turning OFF) - High(Again). Each “-” is a click (switch), so on the final one,* if you keep pressed the button for 1 to 2 seconds, it will turn off*, if you press it quickly it will turn off AND then into HIGH mode, click again for LOW, and click again for OFF (Of, if the bug doesn’t come again).
I hope you understand my explanation. I do it automatically each time I detect the bug, so I can turn it off faster.
