more powerful then the sky ray king

IMHO the SR king and J12 are going to be hard to beat for the $$. I have the J12 and it cranks out a ~2200 bulb-Lumen wall of flood, that you can leave ON for a very long time without killing its LEDs. The J12 pushes each of its 5 LEDs with 1.4A, in (roughly) a 2-D mag-sized heatsink design. The SR king drives its 3 LEDs hard, but not over-killing them for its size and heat-sink capacity. I am not sure what the SR king lumen output is though. But either light will be a nice-floody compliment to your SR-90, and you should be able to get either for under $65 shipped.

The J18 IMHO seems over-priced for what it does at ~$80.
The X100 definitely looks impressive, and in theory it should have one of the highest Lumen outputs of the lights mentioned. But IMHO its just too big to be any practical use in the field.
The new Apex looks interesting. 5-XML driven with 1.7A each should land it north of 3000 Lumens. Its over-priced though (IMHO) at ~$120 shipped.

One things for sure though (IMHO) the SR king is easier to pack-carry than the other lights being discussed, and its battery-can unscrews so you can effectively lock it and prevent accidental turn-on.

I believe the King puts out between 2200-2300 lumens OTF IIRC from those who have tested.

Thanks for all the info, Ofcourse the Olight sr90 is a beast of a light, but just too big. I think a good comprimise is the KING, Bright, good runtime, compact, seems to be well driven and well made which is a rarity. Thanks again ,

what is the difference between the sky ray king CW or NW, Where can i get the better one from.

Does manafont.com sell it?

Its fairly easy to find and seems like prices are settling somewhat. Manafont, Intl-outdoors, etc

Middle is neutral white(NW), right is cool white(CW).

CW might be a little bit brighter but NW is mostly considered as the nicer tint.

ok, thanks

who is a reliable seller that sells the Sky King NW? how do i tell if its and NW?

You can choose between CW and NW(+6$) on the right.

I read someone talked about lumens.

Yeahlumens are important, but also reflectors.
For example you can compare some p60 flashlight with some C8 flashlight, with XML, same lumens, but larger, more suitable reflector gives you a feeling of much stronger flashlight.

Unfortunately I think there is nothing cheap and significantly stronger than DRY/SkyRay King.

I have both and Im satisfied with SkyRay King (I’ve sold DRY). Very good and compatct flashlight.

SOmething stronger than this I would see in XTAR S1
So, triple XML but with significantly deeper reflectors.

This flashlight is a killer , but its also 3X times more expensive than King. And it throws at least 2 times more  It throws like some very good single XML throwers (Oligh M3X, Creelant etc)

sorry to bug you, but is the one from manafont cw or nw?

The XTAR S1 seems good, maybe i will get it one day when i sell my olight sr-90

As its not specified, I guess its CW because that seems to be standard.

That’s supposed to be in theory and actually i agree with you. However in practice, that means we won’t be buying any light for the next 5 years or so esp if we are not doing branded lights.

I have a Uniquefire 3900, it means 1650 lumens OTF. My TF J12 measures 2250. Very much the same hotspot size. I can sense that it is brighter and it is good enough for me. Difference is 36%.

Now SR King is 2200. TF X100 is 3350 (3 cells). Difference 52%. I think he’d be happy with the result.

Ok we can put it this way too. I light up the J12 and have 2250 lumens OTF. Then light up the UF 3900 and get 2250 + 1650 = 3900L OTF. Am i happy? Yes!

Are there other sites other then CNQG, who have the NW King, because with postage it is $85 from CNQG

You should get the TK70, S1, J12 - complete set.

It’s not cheap nor worth it, but you can drool to it…

Hi, Nick. Welcome.

You want a lot, and I’m afraid you will be laboring in want like the rest of us here once you realize that you are at the top of your game in output with the King. I have the King and it is as amazing as everyone says it is. But if you are coming from a throwy beast like the SR90 (which I admit I don’t have), you won’t feel the same awe as with anything throwy.

You know what my most “wow-y” light is? The King. But even though the King may be number 1, it is somewhat matched in impressiveness - and in one way, surpassed - by the STL-V2. It is untouchable in my collection because it can light up stuff at over 500 yards. I have yet to see a distance within remote access be too much for it. The King throws because of sheer incredible lumens, but real throw is something different. You’ll love the King, and unfortunately, everything else in that power range is too big. That’s why the biggies become shelf queens faster than any. Even the STL-V2 has been shortened with the body of of KE-5. Now, it’s my pocket-rocket! Best I own!

So you are pretty much like Galactus wondering where the biggest planets are to chow down on. The meal is right in front of you, my friend!
