Hey all, merry Xmas and all that. I’ve recently begun getting back into lights after a long hiatus. As of late I’ve really shifted my collecting focus from cheap users to pretty pigs, but am still very budget conscious. What are some great affordable lookers out there, other than ReyLight around and under the $500 mark? Willing to go above a little, but no more than a hundo.
Here’s what I have right now (and on order - hence stock photos). I’m looking for the more decorative stuff. I guess i could always just buy anything in Ti and have it Ano’d by Colin Finigan, but i prefer to buy it already gussied up. Thoughts, suggestions? I like the smaller stuff, 14500 to 18650. I don’t like LEPs at all, most pointless lights ever for me (pun intended). My uses are limited to small areas such as inside the home, camper, car and around a camp site or backyard. So flood or something with good spill is preferred.
At Citadel Archive you can see previously commisioned/sold Citadel flashlights. Prices seem to vary greatly, but the most recent common price I’ve seen (suggesting that is base price?) is $ 650,- (up to several thousands of dollars).
A bit further back I see some $ 575,- prices (and an incidental $ 500,-), but obviously no clue if those are still current prices.
The whole design and with the bezel cut (if it stands with the bezel up) reminds me something like The Eye Of Sauron Tower from Lord Of The Rings (especially in orange or red auxiliary) !
Yeah I’ve looked those Citadel up and down a few times, but i only buy things in stock and easily/readily available. I’m not even remotely interested in playing games to buy a product. Cool looking light though, design wise.
