What is the most reduculous claims from a seller, manufacturer, or ad for high lumens from a flash light ?
I found a Youtube video of a light about the size of one of those old plastic floating lanterns, & runs on a cordless drill battery, and builder/seller claiming 32000 lumens and the most powerful light in the world.
There’s several guys on YouTube who post “MOST POWERFUL….” Videos, just looking for views.
The most recent one I ran into was 18000 lm, similar cordless drill battery type light iirc.
i think its the same guy who posted that video. ![]()
Posting links to their videos just rewards them.
“12,000 lumens” from a 3xAAA “9-Led” storebought piece o’ crud from China. It’s posted somewhere around here.
………ridiculous………
need the links
I posted this find long ago (perhaps the one RJ is talking about):

-Garry

Caveat Emptor. Webster’s Dictionary defines this as:`let the buyer beware’.
I like all the funny (lying) claims that the ’shower head” LED light makers claim. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an honest one.
I don’t think anything over 1 lumen each can be honest
lol That’s the one!
But actually, if we’re counting lumen and candlepower claims from users of lights, I got one that tops that; a friend was showing off his Streamlight incan Stinger in 2007 and I asked him how many lumens he thought it had, and he said: “20 billion.” I said “20 billion My good man, you are mistaken.” But he insisted. lol
