2 D4V2s, 2 FW3As, 2 FW1As. Those, along with my new KR4 (which will also have a sibling once the E21A version is released) are my only multiples. Everything else is one-of. But those 6 are the core of my “EDC” lights, they get the most carry.
I have two S2’s in XM-L2 4C. Purchased the second because I couldn’t be without Biscotti on that form factor after seeing how amazing it is. Later I had the INNOVATIVE!!! idea of doing a driver swap on the older one, for various reasons (sentimental value of a gift and nicer rosier tint being the main ones).
Other than that, not really. I would have gotten a second C8 had Simon not launched the C8+.
I’ve got a couple Convoy S2+ lights in different configurations. One with an XP-L HI and one is a 219C triple. One is in a laptop bag and goes with me everywhere and the other is on my nightstand.
I’ve also got two FW3A lights (XP-L HI 3D and SST-20 4000K). They are around here somewhere although I like and use the SST-20 more because of the warmer tint.
Finally, I’ve got a couple Q8 lights. I thought that they were a super bargain when they were released and I’m glad that I’ve got two of these powerhouses for different spots in the house (one in the basement and the other in the kitchen watching with their glowing green eye.
I doubt that I’ll be getting multiples of any more lights though. I now know what I like in emitter and tint and unless there’s a tremendous deal available, one will be enough for me.
Out of curiosity, guys, are they really S2’s, or are they S2+’s? They’re only vaguely similiar, and AFAIK the S2 is not all that popular anymore.
The S2 is slightly longer and has no thumb cutouts.
The S2’s reflector is also much deeper, which tightens the spill angle. (Don’t mind the Tool AA, I put it there to stop the Convoys from rolling.)
Under the hood, the S2+ has a much thicker pill and the inside of the head is threaded differently, so it’s not interchangeable with the S2.
Got 3 more Eigers being made in various configurations:
3 Eiger Mules in raw aluminum and one anodized (shown with the SS Eiger);
2 Sapphires; one 5600K and one 3200K
I thought i had a lot, lol i think I have 6 S2+’es in different configs.
Three L21a’s in different configs
Several other lights, some almost see no use
I don’t have nearly that many of any model, but if it makes you feel any better, I’ve always considered the same host with different emitters or drivers to be altogether different flashlights.
