For instance the tools on a Leatherman Wave each have each have a specific HRC. The blade has a different hardness than the spring-action scissors. Leatherman does not define the actual hardness of each tool. They decide what is best for each tool. On Ganzo multi-tools all the tools have the same HRC. This lowers the manufacturing costs. I do not currently own any Ganzo tools but what I like about them is that on most models you do not have to open the multi-tool to get to the tools.
