I too am interested in the tri pod mount, I saw using a piece of guttering with a nut and bolt and some foam tbh
Thanks for the shots, that’s a nice collection to haul with you on holiday.

True.
i could have used Meters as i live in Metric Canada.
the 4-XM-L Skyray i have seems to be a “good” version, as its noticably more powerful than all my other flooders.
I was impressed with this DST i picked up. (out of 3 i bought, this one seemed to be a little brighter hotspot than the other 3 super Throwers. ) it does come close to the (stock X6 for the throw up to about 250 meters, after that it seems to be a bit weaker.
( I have to figure out how to post these Mouse-over pics and get them to work. ![]()
Love the pics. Wow

Here is my Light Test Tripod rig, here with a Nitcore EA4W for size relevance. ![]()
it holds pretty much every shape & size of light i have, from the 25 LB Cyclops 55W HID search light to my tiny Thrunite Ti.
That’s a pretty smart setup. I’ve rigged a big clamp setup and it works, but big lights like the SR90 gets kinda sketchy with it. Never thought about the simple fact that the lights can just “sit” in a channel like you have. Makes sense. We might have to try a setup like yours.
Thank You sir. I like that.
Awesome beamshots Den! I like the setup too. Is that the Sky Eye F13 you won from me?

I tried various clamp methods, tubes, etc. too and some worked well with the smaller lights, but the larger heavier ones i have had holding issues in them, but this foamed v-block has worked for them all so far.
