My review of the Thrunite Catapult Mini V2 (version 2)

Hey all. Here is another review i just posted to my YouTube channel. Its the Thrunite Catapult Mini V2. An awesome little light and an impressive little thrower! Head over and check it out. Be sure to like & subscribe. I appreciate all of the love and support thus far!

Thanks for the review.

I just bought the light. Thrunite has always had impressive throwers.

You mentioned there isn’t any spring at the head. Does it accept flat top batteries? I hope it’s able to accept the Vapcell M11 FT 18350.

I wasn’t able to make out if the positive contact is raised? Looks like it may be but it’s hard to tell watching a video on my phone. Thanks

EDIT:

A suggestion. It would help to show a close up of the battery especially the positive end to see if it’s raised button top that Thrunite provides.

Also if there’s not a spring at the head that’s not okay unless if it’s raised positive button top which will accept flat top batteries.

Thanks for watching. Its a raised button top battery.

What about the head? Is that a raised positive contact so a flat top will work? That’s more important cuz I have numerous flat top batteries. Thanks

How does this compare to the Speras M4?

That would be a good comparison I think. But I’m not sure how they would compare personally or from experience honestly. Good question though for sure.

I’ve asked the question twice without any results. I guess I’ll wait till I get the light and find out!

Sounds like a plan my man.

Actually I got my answer on another review. He had close-ups of the driver and the raised contact. and verbally verified that it would work with flat tops.:+1:

Not sure why you could not answer my question.

My suggestion in your future reviews is to be more descriptive when you’re talking about the head of the light . Saying that there isn’t a spring is not enough. You need to let the viewer know or see that there was a raised contact.:ok_hand:

I’ve literally watched thousands of reviews in the last 15 years. My favorite being self built who is now come out of retirement to do some lights right here on BLF. I know it can be time consuming but he was very very thorough with a written review and a video review. No stone left unturned!

The only way that any of us can improve is to accept constructive criticism.

Well, believe it or not I don’t have every single light right in front of me in my everyday life to where I can look at it and check every answer you asked me, and I couldn’t answer it quickly enough for you. Thanks for watching though! Easy come, easy go.

I promise not to conduct a review of your review.

Thank you for the review. I ordered one. Grabbed the desert tan one on Amazon. One day shipping and a 15% coupon.

I like these mini throwers. They work out pretty good for how I use them.

 I appreciate the laugh for the morning! Thanks for watching the review. It really is a good little light and a nice thrower as well. You’ll like it, I’m pretty certain of it. I have both colors, the black and desert tan. I appreciate the comment and a good laugh! Thanks man!

That’s understandable.

You could have simply responded and said I don’t know. I will get back to you.

Instead, you bypassed my second attempt and answered Brokearrows question…its a bit frustrating.

No worries… I got all the info I needed.:ok_hand:.

If I can’t get it from One Source I go to the next.

Roger that :+1:t2:

Hahaha thank you for another laugh to end the day! Thanks for watching and the great comment!! :+1:t2::+1:t2::ok_hand:t2:

That is an UGLY looking dog you got!

I get along fine with people that can accept constructive criticism. I’m very direct and some people just can’t handle it. That’s the way it’s been and always will be.

EDIT:

Oh yes…Welcome.

I have never seen someone make a first post like that before and whose username is a parody of mine!

I got the light in 2 days. No Prime. Free shipping. Very impressive through Amazon.

The light steps down in 70 seconds. I continued stepping it back up for a total of 7 minutes. I Was still able to hold it. This was indoors. No fan.

I like the light and knew what I was getting. Like most of these manufactured lights, there is no reason for a step down for at least 3 minutes. I ran it for 7 minutes .

That’s why 90% of my lights are modified.

With a Vapcell 18350 M11 the voltage was 3.65V after those 7 minutes.

The luscious 11.

When I saw how much bigger the custom Thrunite battery was, not only in height but in girth, I was very happy when the light turned on using my M11’s. I know it is protected but I still was surprised at the girth.

Dark in 30 minutes.:flashlight::ok_hand::+1::flashlight::clap:

I see that you changed your photo. Big improvement. Now you need to learn proper grammar.
