Nanjg memory

Hi, I’m wondering what ways there are to shorten the time taken for memory to set in for nanjg drivers? I got a Qlite driver and the memory time seems to be about 3 seconds which is too long for me

i don’t think there is a physical mod for it, but it should be pretty easy if you flash your own firmware (or get someone to flash it for you)

I believe you can achieve it with the pencil mod?

No, this is not correct. A stock Nanjg does not use an offtime capacitor. Stock Nanjg memory is ontime and requires firmware flashing as mentioned by pilotdog68.

As long as firmware flashing is going though… a person might as well solder in a capacitor and switch to a firmware with the much more pleasant offtime memory.

Bugger… I don’t have any equipment needed for flashing so I’ll just live with it, thanks for the info!

Are you an Aussie?

If you haven’t already, please take a look at Hoop’s handy guide thread: Guide: how I flashed a Qlite with custom firmware

The absolute cheapest cost of getting started is probably about $10 USD. (Not too bad IMO.)
