NCSCE17A NCSGE17A NCSAE17A NCSRE17A, cool new colour leds from Nichia

Same size as the white E17A, so 1x1mm die in a 1.7x1.7mm package. All four leds are based on a blue chip, and green, orange and red are phosfor-converted. They are under development so no datasheets are available (I like to see the spectrum, how much wider the peaks are compared to traditional colour leds), but I like that they are phosfor-converted small die leds (good beams in a flashlight), especially red I have not seen before as a phosfor-converted blue

It is possible that the output of these leds do not break records, but at least green is quite impressive in output and efficiency. With 206 lumen at 350mA it calculates at 196 lm/W, and overdriven to 2A like I tested for the white version should yield 700 lumen, which is a lot of green, but not as impressive as the Rebel PC-lime.

They almost look edible
