Hi, i gave my father an Eagle Eye X5R flashlight a long time ago and now the tail switch is not working anymore, it always stucks and you have to push it like 10 times before it works. I removed the clicky and opend it up but couldnt repair it, now i lost the spring. Can somebody tell me the exact type i need to order a new one? I dont even know where i should order it, maybe from Banggood? Since i am in europe it would be better to order within europe i guess because of the shipping prices from the US.
I made pictures of the switch and i wrote down the exact measurements. Diameter of the PCB = 17,3mm = 0.68 inch, thickness of the PCB = 1,35mm = 0,053 inch. The black square housing has 12,2mm on each side.
It looks like this one from Kaidomain: KDLITKER 16MM FORWARD CLICKY SWITCH MODULE
The switch look similar but according to the website the one from kaidoman has more height and the PCD is 16mm instead of 17mm. Dont know if that matters. The spring seems to be longer on those. Also the plastic tube, that comes out of the square switch housing looks much longer on the ones shown in the pictures compared to mine.
I also dont get it when they speak about height of the switch, the height from the switch with the piece that moves in and out? I have an old convoy S2, maybe i will if that has a similar switch because i dont need it anymore.
The height of the KD switch include the spring which doesn’t help much.
The 1mm less width of the switch board should be fine.
The links you provided look like the same switch to me, although the AE switch is no longer available.
The old S2 switch will be a reverse clicky switch, not forward. May look similar, but not what you need.
