That looks great. Is that raised button ring optional or is it installed there as a stock thing?
Yes, it a optional, if you don’t like this, while place the order please leave a note to tell me change for the flat button ring or just email to me the order number, i will help you note it: Sales-Ivy@firefly-outdoor.com,
someone please @-summon me if/when FFL puts powerbank/reverse-charging on this light, tuning out for now.
The X4 has it (although its UI activsted).
Thanks. I was already aware of the X4, but it seems its powerbank/reverse-charging/OTG implementation sucks rocks: fireflies X4 stellar first impressions - #9 by m03da, or has it been fixed already? I don’t have a problem with it being UI activated (actually I would prefer it that way), but I definitely have a problem with it mistankenly trying to get charge from my phone instead of charging it, and needing a full tailcap unscrew to get back to normal mode instead of a partial unscrew due to anodization failure…)
I don’t think it’s been fixed per se. I was glad to have it, but it’s a bit quirky and didnt work with all my usb cables and didn’t always work, period. I think a 5 Ah battery isn’t really big enough for a power bank anyway, unless for emergencies like reactivate a phone or keep it alive at 1% battery. You really need 10 Ah minimum for any serious power bank use.
Boo FFL… disappointing that they can’t get this right when other, much lower-priced vendors like Wurkkos and Sofirn can get it working almost perfectly. (tagging @Fireflylite-Ivy so she’s sure to see that).
Agreed. With my FC13, I carry one 3500mAh LG MJ1 onboard plus 2 others in a battery case in my belt pouch, so 9.5Ah. And more if I’m with my backpack where I carry 3 extras (so 19mAh total when I’m really out and about).
