Also the SureFire has a lockout feature so the protruding button doesn't accidentally turn the light on (not exactly sure how all of that works since I don't have one).

I works by unscrewing the tailcap. All the way in: turns the light on. Unscrewing a little: Turns on

when you press the button. Further unsrewing: Light off.

The feature with the button is very nice if you want to use your light intermittent
