1800 lumens to drown in

~3 amps with 2 cells? Someone needs to fix that.
Maybe they didn’t want to spoil the fun for moders
Probably they didn't want to spoil their already existing 3A XM-L driver of the Fenix TK35 :)
interesting!
I modded my clone tk35 with drjones driver (changed batteries to parallel), and when I did I potted the driver, otherwise I would zener mod that driver and put an mtg2 in it.
It has a a bit too much throw for my intended purpose as is. I’ve been considering making it triple xml, ~1.2A each
I might have to buy another. I have 2 of his drivers left over (designed for 2 switches).
won’t be buying the fenix version (would tear out their driver anyway lol)
Looks interesting to me but I would only consider to buy it if it offers at least 2400 lumens.
And how much it costs? Thrunite TN35 costs about $175 if I’m not mistaken putting out 2600ish lumens and throws 500+ meters.
MSRP $129.95
Needs Mo’ Lumens for a MT-G2. Especially for a pricey Fenix.
Fenix TK35 Ultimate Edition, MT-G2 LED, Max 1800 lumens, Neutral white, and 75 degree wide beam.

Weak output for a latecomer to MT-G2 lights. I can't think of another branded MT-G2 light with less output. I guess that's a good thing if you're the type to brag about having the dimmest MT-G2 light around.
