It is the same host as the HK05 which uses three 21700 batteries. The HK29 uses 29x LH351D 5000K 90 CRI in a reflector for 27000 lumens and 600 m throw. There is also a 6500K option with unknown leds but the LH351D’s are what makes this flashlight interesting. Upon asking, the seller confirmed that they are 5000K 90CRI. With 76mm head diameter it will have a very floody beam.
I downloaded a few pictures from the listing.
In the reviews of the buyers I found intriguing pictures which show a green reflection on the glass lens. Green AR coating should reduce the DUV.
Just got my HK29 5000K yesterday.
Nice finishing and simple UI. LEDs are not centered though.
Tint is very white, no green no blue no yellow no orange.
USB-C chargeable flashlights are really convenient to use.
It is all about cost. And with so many LEDs, reflector can show off those LEDs directly.
HK29 can throw quite far at high lumen modes, but it is a flooder for sure.
hey guys, I recorded some beamshots of both NW and CW version and compared it to X50 2.0 CRI and MK38 (sft40 and xhp50.3 hi). Here it is:
it seems that NW are lh351d led, but CW are different - I don’t recognize those. CW is visibly stronger and has more throw while having the same flood as NW. NW keeps turbo for 4 minutes before step down, while CW rums on
turbo only 1 minute. Ah, and flashlight is pretty heavy - head has aome
weight in it.
