Is there wall shot of HI vs HD?
Tough to decide.

a XHP50.2 version would be nice

MT-G2 is even better.

ZL SC600 HI (XHP35 HI) Vs. SC63W(XHP35 HD). Hoping this will help!

Thanks. It helps indirectly. I was thinking to see any imperfect or annoying edge on hotspot for actual SC26 XHP35 HI and HD.

For close distance usage and this small size of light, looks like HD is better…

Some quick pictures of a disassembled SC26 taken with my phone :

What processor do they use?
Can you post pictures of the markings from µC and FETs, I see 3 chips?

SC26 is also available at Gearbest! https://www.gearbest.com/led-flashlights/pp_009428745115.html?wid=1433363
And also at Fasttech! https://www.fasttech.com/search?haikelite%20sc26

I’m enjoying my SC26 so far (granted it’s only been one day!).

It feels good in my hand and with a freshly charged cell (I used a GA 18650 while I wait for my 26650 cells to arrive) it’s bright and I like the tint (HD in NW). It had the bare minimum of lubrication on the threads but that’s an easy fix. The clip seems to be designed to be with the reflector pointed up but there is room to attach it towards the tailcap so it can be faced down if clipped to a belt, waistband or in a large pocket. The clip is not of the highest quality and doesn’t fit exactly perfectly, but it works and gives my hand a predictable place to locate the switch with my thumb.

The ramping works fine and if I had to make a suggestion, I’d ask for it to be a little bit quicker and perhaps a tiny bit smoother. It seems to ramp up to a certain level, pause for a moment and then move on. It’s a very minor quibble though.

I mentioned that I’m waiting on my Shockli 26650 cells for this and my Convoy BD06. The measurement of the battery tube should fit this wider-diameter cell going from measurements made on this forum and by Richard at Mountain. Might be a tight squeeze although the two youtube videos show the same cell fits just fine. Time will tell.

Overall my first impressions are good and I’m happy that this light is in my hands.

Can anyone measure the reflector size on the SC26? I’m wondering if there is a TIR that will fit in its place, thanks.

I just received my SC26 XHP35HI NW today. That blue is OMG beautiful!!! I’m surprised that the reflector is OP and not smooth for the HI emitter. I measured 1,750 startup lumens with my TA lumen tube. Can’t wait to play with it tonight when it is fully dark.

Take some outdoor beamshots if you would

I ordered a HI version straight from Haikelite but they sent me a HD version. I have replaced the HD on the 16mm MCPCB to a HI on a 20mm Noctigon, I had to cut a bit of one corner so that it would clear the switch.

I like the combination of the slight OP reflector and the HI emitter I think it make for a very smooth beam profile.

@joechina

I hope the pictures of the driver suffice I am not that technical inclined :frowning:

The flashlight is NOT weatherproof, I cooled it of under a slow running faucet and water got in through the switch.

@khas
Finally some real measurements!
Would you please be so kind to measure the widest diameter and the longest length* of the body?

*=That’s using the ring for the 26650
So far I have found 117 x 35 mm, 125 x 35mm and 85 x35mm, and now am ready for the real measurements…

According to my cheap plastic calipers it measures 125mm*35mm

Thanks khas! I’m sure your measurements are fine. I’m not after the last 0.01mm accuracy.

^ Yep, I measured ~124.5 mm

The minor OP in the reflector produces a very smooth clean beam. The CCT seems spot on 5000k and the tint is less green than typical nichia 219C 5000k and other non tint binned Cree LEDs, but not as rosy magenta as cree A or D tint. Throws very well for the size but not as well as the D1S. It’s probably a more practical beam than the D1S im most use cases though. The driver and UI seems fine this time but ofcourse not as refined as the driver TA made for the MT09R. Overall I think HL has a winner with the SC26.

I agree. Got mine yesterday and went for a short walk with it. Amazing bang for your buck in a very attractive package. Thermal protection is working properly too; the light clearly steps down and temperature does not further increase (This was not the case with the original MT09R). I haven’t experimented with thermal protection setting yet.
Light really looks stunning in short configuration, but I don’t have cells yet. Who knows, maybe I’ll put trits in it as well.

Edit:

MT09R: XHP70.2 & XHP35
MT07S: XHP70.2 & XHP35

So yeah, it would make sense and I certainly would like to see an XHP70.2 version of the SC26…

(Although the 26350 cell probably is not going to like this…)
