Saw this yesterday. Seems a light for people that:
- like the GT Nano throw, but prefer a simpler UI and clicky tailswitch
- like to use AAA cells, singles or pair
- like the Luminto GTA but in AAAs instead of AAs
- don’t mind that the “Nano” has grown
- are fans of the Tool AAA, but don’t mind a larger head
Apart from mode memory, I think it is fun!!!
I love the design. Its like a mini old-school flashlight but with modern power.
Nice design because most AAA or 2AAA flashlights lack throw and are just for close distance. It doesn’t make it much bigger but improves throw a lot. I like the cooling rips on the head.
Cool. But needs a pocket clip
Weird to go with that large diameter head and choose AAA’s vs AA cells which have more capacity.
I do like the novelty, it’s good to see brands putting out something that isn’t boring 18650/21700 tube light.
That said, while I do like the design, I won’t be buying- lack of neutral emitter is a deal-killer for me, plus I’m not sure what I’d use it for, weird shape for pocket carry, you’d probably have to have a bezel-up pocket clip…?
Edit to add: weird naming convention for Lumintop? Is there any information whether Paul Kim (PK) was involved with this design?
