New Luminus emitter - SST-25 WES (3535 3v R70)

So I was checking the Luminus website, found this new emitter, the SST-25 WES. Looks like Luminus finally made a bigger-die SST-20.

Doing some extrapolating based on the current rating and thermal resistance, I could see it being 2000lm at 5-6A.

I think it could have potential as a good option for small hotrods, as an alternative to the 3v XHP35.2 and SFQ-43, and probably less ugly than XP-L2.

And here is something that might be a sign of decent tint at high currents, take a look at that curve

Mechanical dimensions are a tiny big larger than 3.5x3.5 but the solder pad remains the same, should be within the margin of tolerance for the centering of most lights

Does anyone know more about it?

Nice find! Right now it looks like some sort of average between the SST20 and SST40. It would be extremely nice if they made a domeless version.

Also, if they make this LED in high CRI, it might offer a decent fight against the 519A.

These look promising!

Hopefully they are available in consistent good tints, and with a lot (!) less tint shift with higher currents. Also the beam quality in optics is hopefully much better. The SST-40 is not good in this regard.
Luminus emitters are - apart from the warm white 95 CRI variants which are really superior - simply not as good as other LEDs…

Would be interesting if it came as a SFT-25 version tol

It could be a good alternative to an XP-L HI if the tint was anything like the SFT-40.
