New NE Florida member

Hi, All-
Just registered here- am new to the world of flashlight forums…. up ’till now, a flashlight has been to me- at best- a MagLight with a couple of batteries in it. Have recently looked into the world of better performing flashlights, and just ordered a SolarForce M9. Also considering an S2200, along with a couple of other more upscale performance lights, such as the Fenix RC40 & the Shiningbeam Caveman.
Retiring up to the country in Maine next year, and feel a few good flashlights will be handy- power’s not as reliable as in NE Florida, and I like the idea of modding flashlights anyway! Hope to learn a lot…

SE Georgia ain’t any better with power outages

Welcome .

Welcome! If you’re planning to retire to the country, you’ll probably need a couple good throwers, a bunch of good flooders, a handful of edc’s, some all purpose lights, several leave-in-every-drawer lights, etc etc etc….
Run away as far as you can from this forum….

Hi Mar Tay6.
If you are retiring next year and you have just joined a bunch of mad buggers here I must say welcome and hope you have a lot of money put aside for this crazy world of lights. Addictions do not come cheap. All the best for the retirement.

Thanks for the comments/welcome’s! I’ve come to learn in my life that there are no cheap addictions. And if there are, I manage to make them not cheap! :–0
I don’t know where to even begin!!
