New: Noctigon Meteor M43 ; in production New color added: Tan

That is just the prototype setup, right? (Piece of copper with 4 triple stars on top)

Below is what is on the Intl listing.

Yes, this is true.
But the new M43 flashlight is just incredibly better. If all goes as expected, we are waiting for the amazing functionality of the driver

In truth, it is a custom flashlight that started it all
http://forum.fonarevka.ru/showthread.php?t=19193

So Inferion from fonarevka started it all? That driver looks like a work of art.

yup
at least all the “buns” in the driver we owe this man

I am very interested in reading from both of that lights - but I would prefer 2 independent threads…

can a admin please split the posts into two threads?
THX!

If I understand this correct, than it’s this what we can expect from the M43 Nichia version? beauty!

does anyone know the exact lumen rating as yet? And any updates as to availability?

Hy,

Hank told me that the work on the UI is finished and i think it is awesome. So i publish it here, too. I think it may take some time to get it into my brain

Minimalist

Cycle & Fast Access

Advanced

And some info on the Low-Voltage indicator/RGB indicator

Lumens were not measured until now.

Greetings

Kenjii

Pretty dang intense! I might not be able to buy this one as my memory may not have enough storage space for that UI.

Turbo at 8A. Hmmmmm……

Very interesting, obviously a great deal of effort has been put into this light. That alone makes me want one. The white/black combination with the design/style/size makes me want one. It’s the first Noctigon light, which makes me want one.

Maybe I could hire an assistant to memorize the UI for me?

As if a simple 3-modes wasnt enough

You could always print it out in manual form, and carry it with the light. Kinda like a map
Great stuff here

Oh Dale, I can help you out with memorizing the UI.. Just drop by, and I`ll explain it in detail

http://forum.fonarevka.ru/showthread.php?t=27107

From off to turbo at least 6 seconds !

No, it’s not. Turbo starts after UI recognizes what it was not “Fast click”, so far as i know ~ 0.5…1 sec.

It is a boost driver, where output values are not identical to input values, a power conversion it is made. There are 4 sets of 3 LEDs in series.
To imagine current that would pass through each LED you can divide a displayed value in the graph by 4:
Example “Turbo 8A / 4 = 2A (per LED)”

We can make a simple UI like “firefly-medium-high-Turbo”, just as any other flashlights in the market, but
our team decided to bring something new to the market.

It looks a bit complicated though, all you need is to take some time and patience to practice it,
then you will enjoy it, quite simple when you get used to it, then to choose your favorite UI
(there are 3 different UI in the program which can be chosen by multiple clicking.)

I would suggest people to look into the UI graph, and give more serious comment.

Thanks!
Hank

Thanks, Hank!

I see now only one typo: “2 Fast Clicks and Hold” used twice for RGB Beacon and Button Backlight. Surelly it should be 3 Fast Clicks + Hold for Backlight.

It is not really clear, what is “service mode” and how to activate it?
Strobes and Beacons can be activated only from OFF State? Why?

No, I understand it ok but you should really use larger font, I had to magnify that 500% to actually see it is “greater than 1 and less than 6”…

BTW, you should change the date in the thread title, we are 1/3 into April but I admit I am not sure what month is in China,
after all not a nuclear scientist here

Very Zebralight-esque UI with extra bells and whistles, love it.

Do we know when the release is expected ?

I have attached the User Interface as PDF file so it can be seen at various sizes and even to be downloaded.
Thanks for showing the typo it has been fixed now.
