Well that is certainly good news for all of us who have been waiting. Hopefully his troubles have been all taken care of and this will all be completed in two or three days as he stated to you. I wonder how he messaged you though, because it still doesn’t show that he has logged into the site in over two and a half months. I am sure that as long as he makes everything right this week he will be forgiven by the people who have been waiting for months after paying without word or update.
Hmm now its getting weird again. So apparently the light is ready to send but he wants me to cancel the claim.
I dont understand why he just doesnt send the light and supply the tracking number.
I am kind of stuck now because I already esclated the dispute to a claim after no response to for 10 days. If you cancel a claim at this point, you can not open a dispute again.
Might have to go through with claim, and pay for goods again, etc. Anyway still no close to a light at this point.
At least he is communicating with you. As soon as I saw that he logged in 6 days ago, I sent him an Email as well as a PM thru this forum reminding him I’ve been waiting 4+ months but I have not heard back from him… so much for the shipping out in the “next 2 days” thing that he wrote to you a week and a half ago… or maybe all of our lights are in the mail and he just forgot to PM us the tracking numbers? HAHA.
This is all just too strange because he was so thorough and nice in the private messages leading up to this mess… took a lot of time to write paragraphs upon paragraphs teaching noobies like myself about building lights, etc…. Sigh.
I definitely would not cancel it. I build and sell lights and don’t really see a valid excuse as to why any of the lights that the folks in this thread have purchased…aren’t sitting in their hands right now. If I wasn’t able to deliver on something I sold, I’d refund the customer or just not take his/her money in the first place.

If something is being sold between private individuals on-line, it absolutely should be in the mail within less than three days - and I strive to mail within 24 hours, if the same day isn’t possible.

They say it is 360k lux, which is equal to what MEM advertised this light to produce with the XPG2. Would be nice to compare one day if it ever ships to me!

I highly doubt the 2xshooter will beat the MEM modded light. I measured mine to be 430kcd …I forget. But somewhere along those lines. It’s a beast of a thrower

if he MEM gives the same compensating gifts to you guys what he gave me….which is a brand new xtar usb charger and a pair of brand new 18650 cells, i highly suggest you check the voltage on the batteries first before charging them right away.
one of the cells read 1.50 volt or somewhere around there….below 2 volts for sure.
and the other cell was 3.7 volts.
so be careful if you plan to use these cells in the modded light because its ran in series and can be dangerous…i ended up just using my own cells for this light.
I started a Paypal dispute and escalated it to a claim.
Paypal refunded my money after not hearing from MEM.
There are better cheaper lights around right now anyway like the latest Convoy L6.

How does this work? Does Mem still get the money you paid? Or does PayPal take it back?
You might have to ask MEM for a real answer to that.
I get the feeling Paypal’s privacy policy works both ways. The customer gets their money back so they can shut up. Paypal takes the monetary hit for time being while they do their own “pushing” before blacklisting (the easy way) or taking things further with the law. Either way whatever happens is confidential to joe public.
Honestly, i think no matter what, PayPal loses out when it comes to disputes be cause they need to do all the footwork… and that is why they charge such a high percentage to the sellers for their profits.
In the past Pay Pal would put a hold on the sellers money and only release it once the dispute period was over. They have since increased the dispute period so im not sure if they still hold the money the entire time
