I’d rather have a light that can sustain 700 lumens for more than 2 hours ( buck or boost driver) and has aggressive knurling on the handle

High CRI 4500k

Even if I have to use a 26650 cell

2 Thanks

Oof. Does that have the double-length Li cell like the 2AA Pokomon, or is it strictly for 2 discrete AA cells like alkaleaks?

(I looove that light. I still use it fairly regularly inside the house.)

Whups, never mind. I just saw that it can take the usb-c chargeable cell, so I imagine that’s the same one that the Pokomon uses.

But 6500K only… :skull_and_crossbones:

I thought this light was supposed to have the option of the sft25 emitter. don’t see it mentioned anymore.

The tint looks pretty decent per the video … I’m in … :flashlight:

It’s 2024 and you don’t even offer a neutral white option ? Why do you do that ?

These mainstream companies never learn :man_facepalming:

My only conclusion is that most people dont care. The 1% that have to have sub 3000k they can deal with losing those sales.

My opinion.

Simpler than that. “Tacticool” lights almost always are cold-white, because it “looks like LED” instead of an “old-fashioned” hotwire bulb, and lumen-chasing means going for cold white to squeeze a few more lemons out of the light. Quantity over quality, is all.

I’m surprised, though, because doesn’t the 2AA Pokomon (green) have a good quality emitter, like a 519 or something? There’s a reason I love that light, and I think the light quality is a big reason.

I’m not sure about the 1AA Pokomon (gray). I had to rebox and put away a bunch of lights so that my cats don’t bat them under the couch, etc., so I haven’t used that one in a while.

In addition to my bone-stock EC50 gen2, I bought another that someone swapped in a MT-G2. Heaven!! I don’t recall what the OG version had. XHPwhatever?

But yeah, tacticool usually always means cold white.
