If someone gave me one of these as a x-mas present, the first thing I would do is cut off that darn useless “self defense” bezel. Why did you design the light with it? It’s useless and only makes it bulkier. Top tip: get rid of it!
I disagree. Granted, as a self defence tool it’s not the sort of thing I’d use, but it doesn’t add very much bulk, and might be useful as a pry bar type of thing.
My guess is that it just looks like a carabiner, but is not supposed to function like one. Surely it can handle some weight… But I would not put my own weight on it.
Maybe they could add a point like on the Zanflare F1 to break auto glass if you can’t get the door open after an accident. I don’t think the self defense concept is great because I don’t know how I’d get a good grip on it but the mini prybar idea has legs especially if it’s notched & angled enough to pull a small nail.
