Stranger still it's described as having a 'XRE-Q5' emitter......and one (or five, or three) modes. The emitter sure looks like an XM-L in the photo.

Did anyone get this light yet? I have been wanting to get an XML thrower and the beam shots on that Thai site look promising. I would love to hear a first hand report on this one.

The descriptions of lack there of at KD are bound to be loosing them sales, who would have guessed that this light with a description is worse than it not having one!
I have it..it's an amazing thrower and very bright..trying to find time to get some outdoor beamshots for a review..
got some whitewall shots i'll post them here I guess..firt shot is xm-l with 2.8 kd driver OP reflector stock lens, second is kd 5 mode xm-l with a smoooth reflector and UCL lens, 3rd shot is the manafont 980l with stock lens..enjoy..

Yeah it’s a great beam…I’m very happy with it’s performance…it out throws and out performs my sf masterpiece…the masterpiece runs longer and has no heat issues though so it’s a trade off…still for this little light it’s awesome…it stays on my duty belt at all times

One of the review said it was pulling 4.6amps, could that be correct? Gonna kill batteries and probably the LED pretty quick if that is the real draw.
That was me saying it pulled 4.6a…I run it on some of my higher resistance cells that measure 3.5a at the tail…that beams ot was at 3.5a…there is a comparison of this light vs the tk 35 in post 22 of his thread…it outperforms it in output and throw…
The beamshots link has some very interesting translations! But thansk, this appears to be a great light for the price, assuming it will hold up in the long run.
It's me, or ceiling bounce is less intense with 980l? BTW, what UCL lens are you using?
it's the cheaper kd 28mm one 2.29? I think..it's a nice piece of glass..i'll do a ceiling bounce test with my luxmeter on my phone to see, but to my eyes it's much brighter than the p60's..
Do you think the "Monster Light Pro" that I see on ebay is the same flashlight?
