Newbie questions for Solarforce?

Hi, I am new to flashlight world, and recently thought of getting first single 18650 flashlight. And because of this post here, I looked closer into Solarforce for first time.

I got some basic questions covered in a good thread here, but would still like to ask the obvious question: What would be your recommendation for a complete beginner to make first Solarforce order?

To be more specific, I have zero soldering skill. And don’t really have specific requirement for the light, other than perhaps to go around indoor, or walk around residential streets at night for now. I fancy floody light, the lighter the better (but that is probably because I have not seen the real thrower yet?)

For beginner looking at single 18650, what would be the host, drop-in, etc that I should start with? I had some great suggestions to begin with here, and would like to hear more specific recommendations (e.g. what to get, where to buy from…) if possible

Hope these questions make sense. Thank you very much!

EDIT: Another question is, is there significant difference in terms of reliability and durability of Solarforce lights as compared to say, other ‘big name’ light? I ask, because reading some words of caution on recommending the Solarforce options for more tactical usage ?

NCR18650B battery
Solarforce L2M
AR coated lens (not actually necessary, but makes your P60 look sexy as hell and doesn’t cost much)
drop in

Since you’re new, you probably value higher total lumens over CRI or tint, so go for the 4 mode SMO cool white drop in, or OP reflector if you want less throw.

Also, please use the search function to look for similar posts because you’ve already made 7 just today.
