With all due respect, this is a falsity that has been debunked a number of times. In fact, Anduril comes by default with the Simple interface activated, which is as simple as it gets (1 click turns the light on/off, 4 clicks locks/unlocks the light, click-and-hold changes brightness, and very little else). If (and ONLY if) users want the more advanced interface, they can click the light 10 times and hold on the last click (long sequence on purpose, to make sure no one does it by mistake) to switch it to the Advanced interface, and only then additional commands will become available – note: available doesn’t mean the user needs to known or use them, as one click still turns the light on, another turns the light off, etc).
And if even the Simple interface is too complex, let’s not forget Anduril is open-source and its Simple interface can be changed to anything you want.
I would really like to see more lights with Anduril UI, if there’s one thing that bothers me is having to deal with different UIs, like picking up a light I haven’t used in a while and having to consult the manual to learn its operation all over again.
