There is a Dutch classified advertisement website I frequently visit, to see if people have oldies but goldies flashlights they want to get rid of.
The ones I could not afford when they were new.
There is this person who wants to sell a titanium Nite Ize (Inova) X1. Well he says it’s titanium, and he wants a titanium amount of money for it.
I’ve done some digging and my conclusion/belief is that the Inova X1 is only made of aluminum. But in two colors, a regular black and a titanium color ano.
Am I right or am I wrong, anyone?
Most of the sites I see reference aluminum. How good are the consumer laws where you’re at or purchasing from? Do they protect against false advertising, including misunderstanding/misrepresentation?
Thank you for trying and the info. Of course we have consumer laws, but there is an old saying that goes: wie procedeert om een koe, geeft er een toe.
Rudimentary translated: he who sues about a cow, looses one (as in money paid to lawyers) during the process.
What’s more: the rules are that seller only will sell something after the item is paid for (via iDEAL, focussed on the seller).
So I’ll try convince him of selling me his titanium colored alu flashlight (with the best specification I can dig up) for half of what he asks for it.
