So my one week old Nitecore MH20GT started to malfunction today. I went to turn it on and the switch was not responding. When it did finally respond all the switch would do is switch modes no matter how hard I pressed on the switch. In order to turn off the flashlight I have to unscrew the tail cap. I LOVED the MH20GT but this quality issue leaves much to be desired. Back to the seller it goes. Maybe I will buy another one down the road but until then Zebralight, Manker, and Armytek it is.
Is it an electronic switch?
Welcome to BLF.
Have you emailed Nitecore?
Yes I have but I sent the light back to amazon I no longer trust it even though while I had it was my favorite light in my collection
Well a lot of people are very happy with thir MH20 lights so you umust have been unlucky with this one.
I have both MH20 and MH20GT. Guess am lucky i have no issues. Yes it has electronic 2 stage switch. I love 2 stage switch rather than complex just switch with timed , double triple press.
If it is from amazon dont worry. Buy another GT again you wont worry my friend. This is the 1st time I heard MH20GT with any issue. So it must be just a bad one.
I have both the MH20 and MH20GT’s as well. My biggest issue was letting my wife thread the wrist loop and handing her a brand new one with a battery in it. (My clumsy fingers were not doing it). She clicked it on and said: MINE…MINE…MINE…literally. Damned nice that I got 2 in that order or it could have gotten testy:-). She threaded both though, and I was appreciative. Running perfect with one small hitch: the other day the GT didn’t work. It worked one moment and didn’t work the next. Sanyo unprotected, non-button top battery. Took the Sanyo out and reinserted. Snugged it all up: nope. Put a new Keeppower 18650 in it and it worked fine. The Sanyo had 73% power left. Go figure. I had one of the GTs out in the woods earlier with some buddies and was impressing everyone shining it on the next hill over. Amazing flashlights. Nitecore really has been impressing me. Nitecores new “Tubes” really hit a home run. I wound up getting one for all the kids too when they went on sale for $6.95. Everyone is all but in love with the little things.
Good luck with your issue.
