nitecore TUP

Nitecore posted this on their facebook:

1000 lumen max output with 197 yards throw

OLED Display reports key information

Dual Switches to control power and modes

Direct access to Turbo and Ultralow

USB rechargeable with a built-in 1200mAh Li-ion Battery

Maximum runtime up to 70 hours

I bet pricing is going to be steep on this one.
Interesting though, looks like a sleek urban EDC, as long as you live in a place where council does not have to save up on electricity

I have one of these in my pocket right now, I like it a lot! I can say it does not use 2x10440, but an internal cell like all their recent “T” series lights.

I’ve nearly stalked bmengineer on r/flashlight since he posted a tease pic of it…
Damn I bet the price will be WAY off my budget but I’m sure this is what the Lumintop Geek should have been.
Knowing Nitecore, it will be available only in CW so hopefully an emitter swap is possible.

whaaat?

They lose their mind :person_facepalming:
I was prepared for a 80+ bucks but this is ridiculous :disappointed:

EDIT : okay, they clearly show that this is not the normal price.
70$ if you buy 10… meant for groupbuys.
I guess 50$ is doable.

*cough*cough*

That site also lists the P12GTS at $150 while nitecorestore.com has it at $80, so it may not be the best source for pricing - and I’m not even sure the currency is USD.

Hmm… I dont see anything that special to justify the price :disappointed:

Anyway this looks really thick… 26mm !
It’s a little brick, I was hoping for a more flat design… but they always have one : TIP

Must admit it is interesting.
Wonder what kind of LED is inside, and what kinf of battery (could it be LiPo or something?)

OK … I’m rich … I want one.

Im saving for one of these as well …

Yeah, just realized myself  Photo is so misleading :person_facepalming:

Sorry, will pass this one

It’s very light for something capable of 1000 lm output (only 53 gram), but yeah, it’s going to be somewhat awkward to nicely stick it in your jeans’ pocket due to the dimensions. I don’t see any mention of a clip either.

There is indeed a clip screwed onto the light, and I don’t have any issues with it in my pocket. It’s about the same dimensions as most modern car key fobs.

It has a split ring, like it’s meant to be used as a keychain…
Well, my keys aren’t that big :-p

It looks a bit like this on a keychain:

Which modern car key fob is that thick?

My key fob is 16 mm thick.

yea, it was at that other place too: New Product Announcement: NITECORE TUP 1000 Lumen USB Rechargeable Flashlight | Candle Power Flashlight Forum
