Initial takeaways:
- Super simple UI, mode memory, quick access to turbo + strobe
- Warmer than SK40
- Mildly aggressive bezel…
- …contrasted with non-aggressive knurling
- Springs on both ends
- Tail cap not removable
- Decent throw
- Noticeable halo
- Fenix PD35R vibes?
As a tail switch fan, this light really appeals to me. Slim profile, lightweight, nimble, and the UI is close to perfect. I think the SFT70 pairs well with it, others may disagree. The halo is a little distracting, but hopefully I’ll get past that.
I don’t have a huge light collection (maybe 75), but the majority are tail switches – and many of those are marketed as “tactical”. This is the first that truly feels tactical. Like something military/LEO might use.
It won’t be my edc light, and I won’t walk the dog with it – but if I were exploring an unknown area, this is the light I’d want with me.
